Alan Hirsch

Alan Hirsch is the founder of 100Movements, Forge Mission Training Network, and Future Travelers. Known for his innovative approach to mission, Alan is widely considered to be a thought-leader and key mission strategist for churches across the Western world.


Peter Pereira

After beginning a promising career as an engineer in the Chicagoland area, Peter felt the call to ministry and began serving as a pastor. Following a short-term mission trip, he and his wife, Esther, felt the burden to return to their hometown of Hyderabad, India. Together they launched Hope for Today, a ministry that is reaching the people of South Asia with a holistic, three prong strategy of compassion ministries, church planting, and leadership development. Peter also serves on the ILI Global Leadership Team, travels to preach and evangelize and encourages like-missioned churches and leaders. Peter holds several degrees; a Master of Urban Studies, Master of Divinity in Missions and Evangelism, and a Doctorate in Missiology.


Kevin Watson

Dr. Kevin Watson is the Assistant Professor of Wesleyan and Methodist Studies at the Candler School of Theology. Dr. Watson is the author of numerous books and articles. His research interests focus on Christian formation and discipleship from a Wesleyan perspective, particularly communal formation, Wesleyan/Methodist Christianity, the history of early Methodism, and American Methodism.


scott Kisker

Dr. Scott Kisker serves as the Professor of the History of Christianity at United Theological Seminary. He specializes on Wesley studies and recently co-authored a book with Dr. Kevin Watson on recovering Band Meetings in contemporary Methodism. Dr. Kisker is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.


David Watson

Dr. David Watson currently serves as the Academic Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs for United Theological Seminary. He is also the Associate Professor of New Testament for United. Dr. Watson is an ordained elder in the West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church.


Maggie Ulmer

Maggie Ulmer is one-third of the Plain Truth: A Holy Spirited Podcast team. She has spent her life following the leadings of Jesus Christ which resulted in a degree in Classical French Cuisine from PA Culinary Institute, a subsequent career in pastry and baking, the co-founding of a professional theatre company called The Hub Theatre in Fairfax, VA, and work in the field of arts administration; as well as no less than 6 moves with her itinerant-Methodist-Pastor husband. When they’re not taking a break from it, Maggie loves home schooling her two remaining school age sons, studying Philosophy and Religion, and speaking the heart of Jesus to anyone who will listen.


Peter Bellini

Dr. Peter Bellini is the Associate Professor of Evangelization at United Theological Seminary. He teaches in the areas of Church Renewal, Global Charismatic Studies, Missiology, Evangelism, Intercultural and Interreligious Encounter, and Urban Studies. He is passionate about church renewal and helping people experience the power of the Holy Spirit.


Marion Hayes

Dr. Marion Hayes came to faith at a young age in a small Baptist church in Germany. After crying out for more from God, she had a life-changing Holy Spirit encounter as a teenager. Marion lives in New York City and is a Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management where she focuses on the firm’s environmental, social and governance management. She also serves as a worship leader and teaching pastor at The 166, a Vineyard church plant in Manhattan. Marion earned her Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from United Theological Seminary.


Matt Reynolds

Matt is the President and Founder of Spirit & Truth. As a United Methodist pastor Matt served for 13 years in various local church roles including as lead pastor of a large growing church in northwest Ohio. Matt has spent the past two years helping train and equip churches and Christians around Ohio to share the Gospel and make disciples in practical ways. He is passionate about seeing the Church actually engage in the Great Commission, not just talk about it.


rosario picardo

Dr. Rosario (Roz) Picardo entered the ministry as a military chaplain, serving four years in the Marine Reserves and five years in the Navy Reserves. After discerning a call to the local church while in seminary he has served as a custodian, an associate pastor, a church planter, and many roles in between. Currently Roz serves as The Dean of The Chapel at United Theological Seminary as well as the Director of The Pohly Leadership Center, Founding Pastor and Teaching Pastor of Mosaic Church as well as a consultant, speaker and author.




christen & Michael Ball

Based in Nashville, TN, Christen Ball and her husband, Michael, are worship leaders devoted to ushering in God’s presence through music while inspiring creativity in worship and songwriting. Over the past few years, they have led worship in churches, conferences, retreats, and special events throughout the U.S., as well as internationally; in India, Haiti—and Israel this December. Their acoustic worship EP, “Songs of Deliverance,” is available on all digital platforms. However, the most important facet of worship for Christen and Michael is not the art of worship, but the heart of worship. They long to see everyone they come in contact with, on or off the stage, to know how much Jesus loves them.

While there will be some refreshments and snacks available on breaks, meals during the conference will be handled on your own. Lots of restaurant options exist within a very short drive of the host church. A list of various local eating options will be provided at check-in.


For those traveling from out of town there are lots of close hotel options. Almost anything on the north side of Dayton would put you in short driving distance. The address for the host church, Stillwater UMC, is 6911 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH 45414.
